AA rechargeable batteries

I am getting tired of buying so many of these. I swear the flash just goes though these so quickly. I was wondering, do the AA rechargeable batteries last as long as the normal AA batteries? Worth the cost?

What pushed me over is that I just bought a 12 pack of Duracells last week, and between me taking a few out for the flash and the rest of my house hold taking them for who knows what, there is one AA left in the package :pinch:

I need to look into rechargable's or start hiding the batteries

My husband and I use rechargable batteries for everything in our home. I have a sb600 flash and rechargeables last longer then normal batteries.

Good to know, now why is that? Would you mind if I ask what rechargeable batteries do you have?

Seeing as I only use flash sporadically, I use lithium batteries in my units...They last a lot longer (more expensive though)

I use and like the Sanyo Eneloop batteries. You can get four with a simple charger. They hold their charge for a long time. Using them in SB600 and SB900 presently, and for three years or so, never had one go bad yet....B)

Why so serious?
