 :agree:
I really love question six on an Internal Focus lens.
6.(5 points) Does a lens that focuses by extending inward and outward change its focal length? Why or
why not?
I wonder how many of them got this one right? Not saying that the students are dumb, but from the level of this test they are being treat as if they are.
And then this little gem.
8.(5 points) The Earth is three (3) times as far from the sun as the planet Mercury. Ignoring any
atmospheric effects, how much more intense is light from the sun on Mercury than it is on the Earth?

Umm! Am I missing how this relates to photography? First you cannot ignore the atmospheric effect on the light that hits the earth. Our atmosphere makes the light the color it is, and it changes at various altitudes, the higher up you are the more yellow it is as opposed to what we consider white. SO there is a change in the light temperature due to this. If you ignore the atmosphere, and for sake of argument say that both have the same atmosphere then there is no light difference. Light does not change over a distance, its property is always the same.
I seriously hope this is not really for a senior level student.

This is a distance question. Isn't the inverse-square law relevant here?
