Workshops that focus on Auroras?

10 years 5 months ago #305269 by Ziggy
Are there any workshops that get you on locations where auroras can be seen and main part of workshop? I'm just amazed at the beauty of some of the photos I have seen. I'd love to see pricing and where these workshops take place.

Yes, I believe that there are. Use the google to search for workshops and I'm sure you'll find plenty. Then you can research each to find the one best suited to you.

They have a ton of workshops. I'm wondering why they don't show the price :toetap:

Now that tour I would do. Then you could get volcanoes, and aurora at the same time in the same shot.

These trips look insanely fun. Too bad it'll be a long loooong time before I can afford something like that. Iceland is on my top 10 places to visit list, though, and the volcanos are a huge part of that.

Iceland would be a nice location! That and New Zealand would be fun to travel too.

I can't stand when they don't list pricing on those pages. How are people supposed to know if they want to attend these workshops if there is no pricing listed? :toetap:

Maybe it's a "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" situation. *sigh* I can imagine a trip to the arctic is phenomenally expensive.

My old buddy Karl is one of the world's leading aurora photographers.

He might do workshops still, you'd have to contact him.

Last I knew he was using Canon with Zeiss lenses. I haven't kept up with him on that because it's more in his techinique and editing then his camera.
