Glad to provide some amusement, Adrian! Apparently,as has been suggested, he was asking where this shot was taken. Adding "from" changes that meaning to "where did you get this from", indicating a question of provenance. As a non-native speaker of English, I guess I am perhaps too aware of syntax...
Anyway... bugs aside. The question was a bit ambiguous, and you were right to be a bit confused. But taken in context it would have the meaning of "Where did you take this shot?"
