Just FYI for anyone unfamliar with the source that's the Onion which is a parody newspaper. Nothing on that newspaper is real. That said, I came into this thread expecting it to possibly be real before I sat down and pulled out a calculator, lol. I did the math and that's about 1388 pictures a minute or 23ish pictures a second which is just a little slower than a video frame rate. So basically, if real, she was essentially recording her trip 24 hours a day lol.

That said yesterday I went on an hour long hike and took 143 pictures and to some that might be a bit excessive. At least it's way less than a video frame rate though lol

Yeah that is pretty much it. The Onion is the 365 day April Fools Joke on the web. The Nikon Coolpix camera do not shoot that fast in video mode, and she would have fried the sensor the first day. But I do love it for pure comedy relief. You whole vacation would be you looking through the view finder, or LCD in this case.
The best part of this is that it represents how some people shoot. The good old spray&pray method, and getting one or two keepers out of a 64 gig cards shooting at basic Jpeg.

The modern human, especially Americans will fall for almost anything. I'd cite some examples, but I don't want to go political...... B)

The Onion

I don't think you could hold down the shutter of a camera for 6 full days and get 12 million photos :owned:

Even if it was a six week trip, it would take me 6 months to upload the images with the speed of our internet anyway. I think after the first few thousand images Facebook would shut me down.

You all got me. I only read the title and pulled out a calculator and was trying to figure out how many photos per day that was.

Haha same. I do this on my personal trips too just to see how many pictures I took on any given shoot. I usually take 2-3 shots a minute.
