Another image from a 60+ year old lens

Took another image here today (again of my favorite subject) this time I stopped the lens down to F8 & used the onboard flash to add a little fill light. A lot sharper than yesterdays image...F8, ISO 200 & 1/80th  . Leitz Elmar
5cm F3.5 lens on an Olympus Pen E-P3 Micro 4/3rds camera...

Not bad for a 60 year old lens!  Is this out of camera?

Nice Scott, I think I've mostly only seen macros by you! maybe I've been missing out. I've been using a vintage/old (whatever you want to call it) lens too on my digital camera, which works with film rangefinders I have so I like that option.

Any problem with mildew on that lens?  As for the photo, it looks incredible.  A friend of mine has some older glass and he is always struggling with mildew.  Just wondering if you have same issues?

That's just awesome to see old glass getting used and delivering results like this

No, no issues with Mildew or fungus. Maybe your friend needs to check his storage situation. Keep the lenses in a dry & cool enviroment.

Just goes to show you that the "latest & greatest" isn't always needed...
