How is everybody coming back to photography after this long winter?

10 years 3 weeks ago #366921 by Scotty
I shot for the first time the other day just to literally get the dust off my cameras.

I've been MIA because of health issues and had surgery.  Feels good to be out and shooting again.  Anybody get any new gear?

Welcome back.  Hope you're getting better.
I'm still waiting for Spring.  It's late.

I'm feeling a lot better.  This winter was completely insane here with everything that was going on. One thing after another.

Spring is starting to "spring" up here lol.   I did some city scape shooting the other day with just primes and the d800 to get used to things.  It's sad when it's been so long since you shot, you don't know which lens hoods belong to which lenses.

I can't wait to start posting and start seeing some people's work again this year.

Same with me, have been snapping all winter long with no break.  Good to hear you are feeling better.

I finally caved in and got Lightroom.  Which feels like "new gear", the learning curve is so steep.  But it has already made more difference to my results than any other gear I've bought.

I had a 2 month break last fall from photography and it's tough getting back on the bike.  But when I did, it was easy to get back into the swing of things.  It was nice to get back behind the camera, I even had missed post processing.

Hi Scotty, finally got the D800 with a 105mm Nikkor micro lens, looking forward to the learning curve.
