Are you using a 32GB or greater card?

I agree. 32GB cards are a good compromise between cost, usability  and security against failure.

I have two 8 gb cards and one is usually more than I ever need. I delete those I don't like as I go along. For my D70 I have two 256 mb cards and have never filled them both. I know some people do it but I just can't see shooting so many frames in one day that I'll ever need more. If I do, I'll just down load the full card to the computer and go on.

Nope, but I plan on getting a 32 GB card this summer.
