I have a realtor who is offering me some long term work if I can also include aerial video clips of his listings. I'm looking for ready to fly drone copters that will carry a DSLR or compact camera. I have started my search and would like to see what results get recommended as well.
There was another thread about drones recently. I read about one interfering with an air care helicopter being able to land to get to the scene of an accident; a plane almost hit one the other day.
You'd probably need to look into rules & regs, they're apparently not legal for commercial use. If anything happened such as it crashing and causing damage I don't know if you'd be liable or if the real estate company would be or not.
I just saw one of these being flown around commercial building here in town. I was talking to the photographer and was surprised they could carry a Canon 5D Mark II. They were using it to video tape the building. It was fun to watch, they had 2 florescent strip lights on it for lighting.
This is going to turn into another dumb law because you have some @#$% who is careless. Just like the gun laws. A few @#$% people ruin it for the rest. Use good judgement and whether we are talking about drones or guns, things will be good.
