What features do you look for in portrait models you are hiring for portfolio?

I have a Craigslist ad that I'm placing to hire some models at different time to build out my portrait side of my portfolio.  I'm wondering when you are hiring a model, what features do you specifically look for?

Completely depends on what I'm after that day.   I have selected models because of eyes, body weight (I have both plus size models, thin and athletic), cheek bone structure, etc.

How much modeling experience they have already and how well do they understand posing.

Whether they do their own make-up and hair, if they have any tattoos, what experience do they have with posing.  I like models that have the look that tells a story, some character to them, if you know what I mean.

Assuming we are talking about a woman, big eyes and bright pearly whites and a photographic figure

Good personality, there's nothing worse then having to work with someone who is full of themselves

Or completely the opposite.  Confidence is good for modelling, but when they get too cocky I can see it getting intolerable.  It's reaallyy hard to photograph someone who lacks confidence though.  I have a few gorgeous friends that I'll round up to model for me from time to time but they are simply not comfortable in front of the camera and it makes extra work for me to try and make them feel relaxed.  (Even with my best friend, who is incredibly beautiful and SO awkward in front of the camera.  And I'm good at building up a rapport or being friends with my clients, but when they're tense and awkward and don't know what to do with themselves and generally just don't feel comfortable, I lose ideas on how to get them more in tune with what I'm doing.  Come to think of it, I must be pretty horrible at my job considering that is a great deal of portrait photography lol)
