Who has an Instagram?

I don't, but just in the last few days have run into a couple friends who do.  Granted they aren't photographers, or rather serious ones.  I always thought Instagram was more of a teenage site.  I'm now curious to see if photographers are using this site.  I might even just sign up.  I know, it sounds bad, "If you jump, I'll jump syndrome"!  ha ha ha

The teens have moved on to SnapChat, as it allows more privacy and the posts allegedly disappear once viewed. At least, I think that's the site.

Instagram can be helpful as a feed of images for self-promotion, or simply an attention getting device (which is where most users fall, I think). I have an account and try to post pictures there, either things I find when out and about, or sometimes processed images that I particularly like.

You can tie IG to FB and Twitter, as well, which I do. And some others, which I don't use.

It's nothing more than a marketing tool, just like FB, and IMO no more or less effective. Which is to say, keep your expectations low.

I have my hands full with Facebook and Twitter.  I had a Tumblr page, but let that go.  Instagram is a no go for me.

I don't have it but a friend of mine has success with her portrait photography. Mind you Facebook is much more successful for her than Pintrest.

I have an Instagram account, but I use it mostly just for following interesting people, organizations, friends, and a couple of good photographers who post a lot.  Can't remember the last time I actually posted a picture myself.

Nope, never even seen the site. But then again, I'm past my mid fifties. I have a photo page on Facebook that I add 2 pics a week to and I'm on Flickr. The Flickr site was more out of curiosity to see what others are doing.

No interest in Instagram, I had Twitter page, but now only have Facebook.  OMG, I think I might still have a Myspace page

I have one but at the moment its just for following a few friends and people. If I was to get serious about using it I would mainly stick to uploading snapshots / photos taken on my phone of being out and about I guess.
