Lighting preference

My guess is that a poorly lit shot can be fixed in photoshop. Hard to do anything with no shot at all. My problem is I suck at post processing!

While yes photography is all about the light, sometimes nature does not provide you that main ingredient, so bring your own. Whether you use a flash, or a reflector to bounce the natural light it does not matter, all that matters is using your tools to get the shot. I always prefer natural but hey it does not always provide.

:agree:  exactly, natural light limits your creativity to bend light to your needs.  Well not really bend light, but you get what I mean.

I'll use what is needed to get the lighting I want for the shot  ;)

I'm pretty much the same.  What ever light is needed for the shot or what ever effect I'm after, is what I'm going to use.

While talking about light, do many of you use reflectors often?

I think I own 6 or 7 reflectors of different shapes and sizes.  They are always with me.

Canon 7D w/grip, Canon 40D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L Canon MPE 65mm f2.8 macro; Sigma 70-300mm f2.8; Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro; Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6

I've got pretty white skin, so I'm a natural reflector.

Most times, I'm just using natural light.  Mainly because I'm traveling light, and/or shoot mostly landscapes. But I have my moments when I get into flash photography.
