Coupon code for B&H or Adorama?

XXXXXX   used to have a special going on where they included a 15% discount code for Adorama when you purchased a poster and had an account. Not sure if it is still going on, they didn't advertise it. I found out from an email I was subscribed to.

Looks like a brand new site.  Poor way to get people to your site if you ask me.  I'm thinking your post is spam.  Reporting.

Well I believe that is why I received the promo code in the first place, they are a recently launched company...so its reasonable to think they were trying to drive traffic to site...

Unless it's posted and a confirmed fact I'm going to remove.  I know the folks up at Adorama and I have never heard of 15% discount code.  Margins are so lean in the photography industry, I can't image any store who is competitively priced as Adorama, giving up 15%.

Seriously?  How much did you have to spend to get one?

Seriously!  It's not based so much on price as it is on certain items.  It's generally 2% but I see that they're now offering 4% on some items.  For Example: as of today, you can get a 2% coupon if you buy a D3200 + 2 lens kit for $577, a 4% coupon for buying a D7100 body for $1,097, and a 4% coupon for buying a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G for $197.  The coupons come by email and are good for something like 4 to 6 months.

:agree:

If something has value, pay for it. Those stores don't have to offer coupons to entice customers because there's not much competition left. You're barking up the wrong tree.

Which of these stores is better?  I have been shopping for my first major camera and during searches, these two stores keep coming up.

Um, "better" as in lower prices? If so, you don't understand the professional camera industry. Neither is better, and they keep popping up because there aren't many other choices left.

If you live in central Texas, there's Precision Camera in Austin. Not "better" but another choice.

Better is a moving target.  Better in my book is who has the best prices for the item I'm after

Very nice to meet you!
