Photographers and Yelp

Anyone advertise or have accounts with Yelp?  I hear good and then I read the stuff in the papers about how it's a dangerous game.  If you start advertising with them, and if you stop, then all sorts of negative reviews all of a sudden start coming?  I don't exactly trust media outlets, so asking here for opinions.

I wouldn't bother, I've heard to much sour business going on there.

Well here's another way of using Yelp, not to mention an interesting article:  kitchenette.jezebel.com/a-restaurant-is-...worst-rev-1636532498

I was reading this article yesterday, I'm guessing we will see more companies doing this in the future.

Well I personally think Yelp is really lame. I have looked at it maybe twice, and found it to be useless. To me it is a lot like this whole Angies list where you pay to see the reviews, and give out reviews for free. A good scam to me, I just wish I would have come up with it. :P

+1 all Yelp is, is 'renting' reviews.  They aren't owned.  As soon as you stop advertising there, you'll get slaughtered in negative reviews.
