How do YOU describe YOUR photography?

When someone ask you how do you describe your photography, how are you answering this?

Call me missing the boat, but I stalled when answering this and came back with: "artistic".

 :pinch:

I'm still drawing a blank.

Help me out.

How do YOU describe YOUR photography?

Half way between Picasso and rubbish.     That's a good question, not sure how I would describe.

The description I use is, amateur with the hopes of become a little more professional.  I shoot what I love, and I love nature and animals and plants.  Not wild about shooting people.   I think I am have "the eye" for a lot of what I shoot.

When people ask me this question I just go on and on and on.  I think it is a symptom of what I love to do.

It depends upon what I'm shooting, but in general I prefer deep, rich colors and sharp images.

Or: representational.

Or: honest.

Lots of adjectives to choose from.

Blasé, uninteresting, bland, and pretentious. Otherwise pedestrian snapshottish tripe.

Point-and-shoot with years of knowledge of what works, what don't.

I'm up to 7% hits from about 5% 15yrs ago and 3% 25yrs ago. I am less daring and creative now.
People do not buy daring and creative, more boring and pretty.
Now 25 yrs later it is not so daring anymore. Now people like my old work.

So now I photograph what I think is pretty.
