Anyone using digital photo frames?

My wife's sister wants one of these and I don't know much about these.  I'm supposed to find one that is considered the best and blah blah blah.

Can I get some help with some recommendations on which you recommend please?  Thanks

I can't recommend a brand. I can tell you:

1) Don't buy one that turns itself off after a while. Ultimately it will never get turned on. The device should stay on constantly, or perhaps have a clock to turn the display on/off during certain hours.

2) Don't buy a small one. Frankly, a 15" diagonal screen and a wall mount should be the minimum; for a table top, perhaps a 10" diagonal (iPad size) screen.

3) Plan on consistent orientation of your images. Showing portrait images on a landscape screen is just ... dumb. They're too small.

My wife bought this one: www.amazon.com/Nixplay-Digital-Android-F...id=1419344657&sr=1-6

I'm on the fence with it, the set up was slightly a PITA and the screen froze once on it.  After restarting it has been just fine.
