Ditto.  Only my tripod is heavier than my camera so we switch that around.  I would like to try a meetup with other photographers, but that has never happened.  So I can't really answer the question!

Mostly alone, but I do have a friend who's an artist (painter) that I go on shoots with, and we work well together. She sees things I don't, and vice versa.  Plus, she's willing to do things like stop in the middle of the road to photograph a rainbow.  Friends like that are rare.

Depends on my mood.  Most of the time I do like being around others.  I'm just picking back up my camera after a 2 year break, so we'll see this time around.
