Communicating with clients: How often are you communicating with clients after completed job?

9 years 3 months ago #424961 by Jennifer Krueger
Morning.

How often are you communicating with past clients after the completed job?  Also how are you doing this (via email, phone call, snail mail, etc.)?

I've read a few articles that focused on retention of clients, but mentioned nothing of the frequency or better yet, method by which this communication took place.  One mentioned reaching out to them on their birthday.  That's it.

Thoughts?

I would say every 6 months or so via email.  I send out birthday cards in the mail too.

Depending on the available time, I'll send them an email and some I'll make a phone call.  When I know their anniversary (if I shot their wedding) or birthdays, or any important day like a holiday, I'll reach out to them.

Physical cards are going to be the best IMO, something that they can hold in their hands.
