I'm not sure why people think this is an HDR image. It is a single shot. I didn't use HDR tool or tone mapping to process it.

Because HDR doesn't require the use of multiple exposures nor special tools or processing. I was simply admiring the wide dynamic range of the image, wherein detail can be seen across the tonal range. HDR can apply to a single shot.

I guess we will have to disagree on this one. HDR refers to an image that has more dynamic range than can be captured with the camera used. That is the definition. HDR can not be a single shot. Yes, you can do various things to simulate an HDR look with tone mapping and the like, which I didn't even do that on this image. People call a certain look like an illustrative look HDR and that just isn't so. I'm a little surprised that you feel this way about HDR when you are such a stickler about equivalency in focal lengths, etc. Folks can call it HDR if they want, but by definition it's not.

Consider me corrected.

Did you stay at the ranch for an event, or just visit?  I'm thinking about a day trip when I'm in Albuquerque in October.

Only had a couple of hours there. Part of the reward for being the "Grand Prize Winner" for the contest is I get a free workshop including room and meals for a week of my choice in 2015 or 2016. I haven't decided if I'm going to take it or I may, if they will let me, is to find a kid in high school art classes from the general area and give the prize to them. The area is definitely worth a visit. There are many trails and lots of great scenery to shoot. You will have a good time if you decide to go.

Now you are talking my language, I'm a fan of cars and trucks period. Love the classics. Your shot reminds me of a vineyard my wife and I went to last year. They had a old truck like this one out in front of the vineyard that caught my eye. It wasn't anywhere near the condition this one was. This one looked as if it had been sitting there for 30 years! I'll see if I can dig that photo up.

Regardless... awesome shot!
