Pictures not sharp: issue witht the autofocus?

8 years 1 month ago #472803 by nicolasnico
Hi everyone (second try),
one question: it seems to me my pictures recently are not sharp, or not
as sharp as they used to be? So my question is: is it possible for the
auto-focus to get messed-up? (not rightly calibrated?). Or to mess-up the auto-focus if you turn the auto-focus ring on your camera when the auto-focus is switched on?  (I put two pictures here attached).
Thanks for any thought on this. Nicolas (PS: the two sample pictures are shot at the speed of 100, ISO 200 or 400. I might have moved with the kid's picture, that might be the issue, but I'm still interested to know if we can mess-up the auto-focus.

Hi Nicholas,
I see what you are talking about with the pictures, have you tried the basic troubleshooting tips over @ Canon's official site ? I'm thinking the contacts between the lens and the body are dirty perhaps and this could give you problems.

Also what lens are you shooting with?
