Nikon D90

I've recently gotten back into photography after getting divorce from a very controlling ex and upgraded from the D3000 I had prior. I am self taught, but a visual learner. I am old enough that I learned most of the tricks the DSLR cameras do for you on a film camera. Are there any good video's that will run through the operation of the settings with me. I have figured out most of them but still can't take rapid shots and turn of the, what I call the "spotter light," that flashes at you before the real flash goes off even when I turn the flash off. It is messing up my night photography. Any ideas?

What do you enjoy shooting?

I really enjoy portraits, and landscapes. I keep to architecture pictures but they never come out right and I delete more then I keep. Lighting and shading are my biggest problems, lol, well those and trying to take night pictures. I have almost given up on those. I am tenacious though and I will eventually get it and everything else. What about you?

How often are you getting out and shooting (practicing)?

Not as much as I like right now, as I am trying to build an online business so it is taking a lot of time. Plus the weather is so changeable I never know if it is going to be nice or not. I do try to get out at least twice a week and more often on the weekends.
