70-200mm f2.8 lens for Nikon?

Is this that good of a lens? $2000 grand for this lens is a nice price tag. I've been told this is a great lens for shooting fast action sports?

Absolutely it is! That lens now has it's second version which is a VR II. With f2.8 that is a very nice lens to own.

I've been shopping around for a used 70-200mm for almost 3 months. I almost got one on ebay for $1100. At last minute of auction some other person got it for $1400. :evil:

70-200mm VR f/2.8 is one of my favorite lenses. Highly recommend it.

I own an older version 80-200 2.8 and it is one of my two most used lenses for shooting sports in available light
