What are you doing with your photos?

TGIF huh?

I'm sitting here downloading new photos to my computer and realized something.  How many photos I have!

But only a small portion, in the big scheme of things are actually used for something.

I'll either print out of myself, or client.  Use a screen saver for a little bit, send off prints for friends and family.  Try selling some a stock.

The rest of the 99% of my photos, sit and do nothing.

Any usually things I'm forgetting that I could be doing?

So you do "something" with 1%? That has me beat. I post an occasional,  print one much less often, delete most and still have between 100 and 200 thousand saved on a few hard drives....Depressed now, why did you bring this up?

Why so serious?

I share, I build my skills, I express myself. I'm considering joining PPA and figuring out just exactly how to create "merit" images. I want to start a local camera club. I want to write about my work and my vision. I want to mentor. I want to learn.

All of those images support those goals. I'm sure others have their own reasons.

I would guess I'm doing just about the same as most of you.  1%, man, I would guess far less for me.

What else is there to do with them?  Keep the good ones, print the super awesome.  sell which ones I can, and store the rest.
