Are you dropping $3500 cash or using credit card on new camera?

I rarely use my credit cards unless I can pay off under 50 days.  Which translates to free use of money.  I'm just wondering if others operate the same way, or are you in debt till you paid off card?

I always buy with a card (debit or credit) but the money needs to be there first. That's why I don't own a 600 f/4.....

Why so serious?

Why do you ask?

This question comes up periodically here, and you will find that there are some that resolutely refuse to use credit to purchase something they can't afford. Others will use credit to acquire something, then pay it off. Still others will use the float provided by a credit card as a short-term loan. Frankly, I don't see the point in that for a major purchase. Day to day, I use my CCs and pay them each month. But a large purchase, I'll either finance wisely (12 months no interest, for example) or decide that paying the interest is simply the price I pay for acquiring something I might need now, to earn money to pay for it later.

This has nothing to do with cameras, of course.

I buy on credit card, get the miles, and pay off in 30 days.

I'll do the same, run it through credit card, and pay it off before interest builds.

+1 for the points/miles on credit card.  As long as I pay it off responsibly, then I'll pick it up.

Neither for me.  I neither have nor need a $3500 camera.
