You could try shooting with crazy wide aperture, then focus stack.  You have what you want in focus and the rest will be blurred out.

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8

G'day LCTD

The first question needed to be asked is "Why are you photographing furniture?" ... are you being paid as a photo job or is this a hobby deal?

A- if you are being commissioned by the store, then you will be able to negotiate timings with the store owner/manager and do the shoot at night when you can control the lighting

If it is not possible to do a night-shoot - you can setup multiple flashguns where the over-brightness of the flash will cause the remainder of the store to go dark - thus exposing the furniture as needed

If however, the whole thing is a hobby - then you must do as everyone else does - make the best of the locale and do heaps of post processing to mask out the stuff not needed

Hope this helps

I was thinking the same thing, this will bring greater focus to the pieces of furniture OP wants attention on.
