Business cards still needed in 2019?

Well I think that one will be somewhat controversial.  While my business cards don't have my mug shot on them.  I know at least 2 successful photographers who do have their head shot on their business cards.  Actually one guy has a complete portrait going along the left side of the card photographing his contact information if that makes sense.

If you meat a potential client and want them to contact you in the future, how else would you quickly give them your details?

My best friend's husband is a freelance photographer. He asks me to design a business card once in a while, so I guess it works for him.
