Water drop collision photography

4 years 6 months ago #662470 by ShutterGuy
I have made a home made set up with a fish tank, arm going up 2' with a magic arm holding a water droplet.  Now I have my flash positioned at 3 o'clock position and black felt for background.  The problem I'm getting is timing the drops.  I've been not able to consistently fire the shutter and flash at the moment of impact.

Any tricks you can share?

For that, among other purposes, I use Miops.

I too use a Miops smart trigger. Even with a trigger it takes a few tries to get the timing right.

That's the one, they also make  remote" which is controlled by your smart phone. I have both and they both work well....
