Death Valley one of top places to view Milky Way?

My wife was just reading an article that listed Germany, Nibia, Australia and Death Valley as top places to view Milky Way.  What time fo the year is best for photographing Milky Way in Death Valley?

I would not have included Germany in the list — as the worst
atmospheric condition is high humidity. All the others are fine.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

If you want to include the Milky Way's galactic center, from April through September would be best in the northern hemisphere...(Death Valley)

Why so serious?

I thought from December to Feb was the best time?

That's a good time if you don't want to see the galactic core from the northern hemisphere.....

That's the best time to visit DV based on temperature. Not the sky.

So can the Milky Way be seen out there during this time of the year?

You can use a sky map app to figure out where the Milky Way is from any location on the planet, on any day.

The bright galactic core is not visible from the Northern hemisphere at this time of year. Only the dimmer arm.

Is it defined enough to look cool?  Actually with out the bright core, I can't imagine anything else would look nice.

Thoughts?

This time of the year, photographing everything else must per a breeze out there with no crazy heat cooking you and your gear.

Beautiful place to visit during the winter months, but Milky Way is much better during late spring.
