Iceland Photo Tours review

4 years 3 months ago #673381 by Don Granger
Have any of you used this outfit for traveling to Iceland for photo workshop?  I'm trying to find a reputable workshop and Google shows these guys listed on the top, but that's just good SEO.  Would like to get some actual thoughts from those that have gone on a tour from this company.

Thanks!

Last time I didn't take a tour.  I solo'd it.  Are you going to shot the Northern Lights?

Hell yeah.  This is in my top 5 list of places to go.  Don't know this company, but will give you props on a kick a$$ location.

I'm not a "tour" type. You go where they want, when they want. Many hit the crowded sites, myself I'm more interested in eastern Iceland and I've noticed some guides omit that area.....You don't see many photos without lots of tourists polluting the scene.

Why so serious?

If you want to get the northern lights, you'll want to get up there before April.

FYI: You can see the Northern lights there in summer months, just not as frequent.

My husband is heading up there in March.  He's been waiting for this trip for a long time.   Should be fun for him.

You'll want to go back over and over again.  You want to go at least 5 full days.

I hope my photography gets good enough one day to justify such a trip!
