I was planning on going here in September to photograph this tree.  WTH is wrong with people?!

They are among us. However, there are other things to photograph in New Zealand, and that tree was shot a half million or more times. If your trip isn't cancelled you'll still have a great time!

Why so serious?

Why?  What possible motive could someone have to do this??  Someone needs to cut off one of their limbs.

Wanton vandalism should carry a penalty of death. There IS no good reason to lop off that limb.

Crap like this boils me over.  This happens to be one of the areas I've not been to either that is certainly on my bucket list to photograph.  I hope they catch the people responsible for this.

What could possibly be the motive for doing something like this other than hate?  People like this deserve the full punishment of the law.

Awful.  Nothing more to say that I won't regret saying.  :nunu:

Ugh! Tourists are honestly the worst. Some idiot must've tried clicking a picture whilst sitting atop the branch, breaking it in the process. A travel ban under the current corornaviirus lockdown will see places like these preserve their tranquility, and abate the insensitive actions of a couple of bad people.

That is so messed up.  I don't understand people  either.  We have enough things to worry about these days.  Shame on who ever did this.  Just bad apple there.
