Do you adjust your white balance manually in Kelvin?

Does anyone adjust their white balance manually in Kelvin anymore?  Everyone I know uses pre-set positions.  It was mainly the film people that used Kelvin right?

If you shoot Raw, just leave it on Auto WB. This parameter
is the less critical of all — RAW files have no colour space.

I will tweak the WB in post and only if necessary or to sup-
port a given artistic intent.

Film, was not so forgiving and many ways were taken to get
things right in critical shoots.
Light is free… capturing it is not!

yup, but i do it in lightroom.  the joys of shooting raw.

Most converters or pixel editors have decent tools
for that. Personally, I am adobe free since years but
I tweak the WB only in my converter.
Light is free… capturing it is not!

i'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoys editing.  i've tried a few other raw converters but lightroom is what i've stuck with so far.  i use photoshop and illustrator a lot too.

I use Serif's Affinity suite and CO Pro.

nope.  maybe if i had to turn something over really quickly and they were concerned about wb then i'd consider setting the kelvin in camera.  but whenever i have a quick turn around job they're not interested in wb or editing so i just use auto wb.

:agree:   I'm with you on this one.  Lightroom when you have RAW files is a dream and the best Swiss Army knife.

No, I haven't adjusted white balance in the camera in years. It's always set on Auto. I make any needed adjustments later in the RAW file. I still frequently take a shot of a white balance target as part of my photo shoot, so I can compare it to the shots and make adjustments from it if I should want to though.

Man, I don't touch my white balance hardly ever.  Seriously, I can't even remember the last time I made a on camera adjustment to it.  For me, it's always on auto.  Never had any issues at all fixing white balance in post.
