Destination wedding business dead from Covid?

1 month 3 weeks ago #692561 by Amy Porter
I had been working on building out and marketing myself as a wedding photographer willing to jump on a plane to shoot your magical moments anywhere on this globe.  Obviously things are different and I'm really wondering if this will ever recover to where it was prior?

Part of me is thinking I need to start focusing on plan b (one doesn't exist yet), vs waiting for this to turn around.  I don't see things changing anytime soon.  What would you do?   Wait and hope for the best OR forget about all the $$ you have invested into this and start building in another direction?

Right now today, yes I would be working very hard on plan b.  I don't think travel will open up any time soon like it was before all of this.  People are still very concerned about traveling for good reasons.  Add on top of things quarantine restrictions when you come in or out.

Are you even getting phone calls on destination weddings right now?  I wouldn't think many would want to go anywhere.  Let alone weddings.  I think you really want to look at other points you can focus on.
