Holiday portraits in your home?

3 years 6 months ago #697692 by Peter Nunez
I normally offer holiday portraits in my converted garage that is now a studio.  My wife is giving me some resistance because of Covid.  Each year, I'm able to make a nice bit of revenue during the holidays from shooting portraits.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Just do them outdoors then.  Set up some Christmas tree props on your lawn and go to town.

Knowing that the virus is in a droplet and it can't be airborne
very long, disinfect anything your talents might touch and ta-
ke off the masks only when all are in place, that includes you
being behind the camera.

Make sure that your subjects are from the same household and
make them aware that you took all measures for all to be safe
in your environment. Anything you can do to show them that
you care will be very appreciated by all your clients… mine do.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Just set up things outdoors.  Frankly that is what I'd do.

That's what I'm doing as well.  All my shoots, are outdoors this year.  There are plenty of places you can go as well.  Pumpkin patches, Christmas tree lots to name a couple.   Keep the masses out of my home.
