Organization question

I can't be the only one with wires all over the place, and when I put them into a bin for storage, they always get knotted up.  Very annoying and time consuming.

How are you organizing all your cables and wires that you use in your studio?

Whenever I can, I get the coiled cables.

If I can't, I use those velcro cable ties.

Good tip, found those on Amazon.  Ordered.  Thank you!

When not in use, I store them rolled up in labeled zip-lock bags. Velcro ties are handy for longer cables.

Thank you, that is another good idea.  What's ironic for me is while I was typing out this thread, I didn't think of some of these great ideas and now I think had I put more thought into this, the solution is simple and right in front of me.

You all are appreciated, thank you!

The Velcro ties are available at hardware stores, but are cheaper in quantity from Amazon

amazon.com/s?k=velcro+cable+ties&crid=1YYG35F0XLU&sprefix=velcro+cable+ties%2Caps%2C100&ref=nb_sb_ss_pltr-ranker-engagementacceptance_1_17://www.

For smaller mic, sync, and similar small cables and fittings I use labeled Zip-Loc bags, and store them upright in a cardboard parts bin on a shelf in my gear closet. The labels make it obvious what is in each, but the clear bags help too. If larger coil sizes, they may also get a Velcro tie.

Power cables attached with Velcro held in round coils fit easily on wooden pins that I've placed on the wall of my gear closet. Different lengths and styles get their own pins, making it easy to grab the correct ones.

Oh, jump on Amazon and search for "wire bungee"  you will find a ton of different size wire bungees.  So depending on what you have, these are great and cheap too.
