Honestly, this is the first time I have seen a UV provide value.

In the last 65 years of using my cameras, UV filters have saved my camera lenses once from flying debris, twice from the wind blowing the tripods over, and once from someone bumping into my tripod. New UV filters are very inexpensive when compared to camera lenses. I'll continue to have them on my cameras whenever possible, both in the studio and in the field.

If you're going to use filters, make sure they're good ones.

Surprised the cameras didn't get knocked over from all that pressure created under the hydraulics!

That was fun to watch.  I would put those cameras behind some heavy duty plexiglass as well.

Actually, Lexan is what they make bullet proof windows from. It doesn't shatter like Plexiglass.

I can't see that type of scenario playing out in general use. Like all force would come so evenly from the same direction. Not a valid test if you ask me.I have been into photography since the late 60's and while I used filters with film, I no longer do except in certain circumstances

Stored energy is a powerful one to mess with.  I'd say that camera was lucky!

This channel is addictive, you can't watch just one video!    A buddy showed me this guys channel last year and I'm subscribed and watch his stuff.  He has another video where his filters take a hit like this.  Testimate to the importance of these filters!
