Family portrait with you in it taking the photo?

Aside from 3 or 10 second timer in the camera, how can you take a family portrait and be in the photo yourself?

Wireless shutter trigger button, or a very long wire and button that plugs into your camera's external remote trigger socket.

It's necessary to know what camera you have in order to help further. Some models use Bluetooth for wireless triggers, some use radio triggers, etc. If the camera has the external trigger connector, there are wireless packages that contain a receiver that plugs into the camera, plus a transmitter with a button on it to send the signal to the receiver, which then triggers the camera.

Put a mirror behind the other people, that will show you in its reflection.
