Flying to Iceland next week - coming down with something!

6 months 3 weeks ago #760113 by Carlos
Crummy way to start the year.  I'm flying out to Iceland next week, a trip I booked back on October to photograph the Northern Lights.  Today I started feeling something brewing inside me, and I'm never wrong, this means one thing.  A cold is working its way over me.  Figures!  I'll wait till end of the week and take a Covid test.  Assuming it's negative and I'm not feeling like complete @$$, I'll go.

At what point do you cancel a photography trip?  For example I have 2 other trips this year, these are actual photography workshops I booked back in June of last year.  Cancelling one of those would be horrible.  At what point do you draw the line and cancel a trip?

Oh man, that sucks.  Time to start getting more rest and upping your vitamins!  As for me, for a workshop?  Covid, i would stay home.  Everything else, I'm going!

Agree, these days a fresh case of Covid would cause me to think about cancelling.  Although I would check with the workshop to see if masking up would be OK.  Covid is just another name for a cold these days.  If they are OK with me masking up, I'd likely go.

2 years ago with Covid, I would pull the plug.  These days, just mask up and take your vitamins.
