Lake Moraine still accessible this time of year to photograph?

I thought someone mentioned some time ago on here that they close Lake Moraine off during winter months.  But I can't seem to find any indication of this in my Google searches.  Would any of you know if you can still access it?

On that note, can you see Northern lights there in Feb?

As of January 2024, Lake Moraine is not directly accessible by personal vehicles due to the closure of the Moraine Lake road, which typically remains closed from October until late May or early June. However, there are several alternative ways to visit Lake Moraine during this period.

You can take a shuttle there, hike, or taxisFor photographing Lake Moraine during this time, be aware that the famous turquoise color of the lake is most vibrant during the summer months when the lake is fed by glacial runoff. In winter, the lake is frozen and covered in snow, offering a different but equally stunning landscape.

Much more pretty in spring when the lake has thawed and you get the blue water

We were supposed to go here last year, then Covid had other plans for me.  Whats odd is this was my second time getting covid and unlike the first time, which just felt like a normal cold, this time it knocked me on my butt for nearly 3 weeks.  Hope to get there this spring.

I would wait till spring when it thaws out and you have that blue water contrasting against the mountainside.
