What do you do with camera gear during camping?

When you camp, and go on a hike as an example.  What are doing with your camera gear to keep it secure?

Lock it in the truck under a towel in the back.

When you hike, aren't you taking the camera with you? Other times, like over night, mine was always next to my head in the  tent. If your car is nearby, then in the trunk and covered is a good suggestion. Most of my camping was hiking and I spent the nights in a small tent with my camera next to my head.

+1 stick it in the car.  And then some of the other places I'm camping at, we are so remote that I don't have to worry about anything.

When I'm out camping, I usually always just have a single camera body with me.  But that is always with me.

If my truck is close enough, stick in there.  If not either take with me or leave at camp.  Many of the spots we are at are so remote and there is no one around for miles.  Everything is just fine.

Yep, except for organized camp sites.  But then again in decent camp grounds, never had any issues.

Bring it with me, or at least the camera body.  Like someone else pointed out, most of the camping spots I go to are very remote or people just leave your stuff alone.

When we are off camping, my camera is always with me anyway.  But like many here, most places we camp at are so remote, so no one is around to worry about.

It's in the old backpack.  I'm out there to get great shots, what good is my camera if it's back in the truck or at camp?

If I'm camping, I'm there to take photos.  So like others, camera is with me.  But if I need to do something that I can't have my camera, most places I'm at are very remote, nothing to worry about.
