For me, the joy of photography is capturing some marvelous thing in nature and creating an image I can take out and view any time I want. Human memories are nice, but a photograph is much, much better.

What I like least is the fact that you can't trust what you see in so many photos these days. I use PhotoShop to improve the quality of my photos but I don't use it to play games with a photo - to distort it or add things that lead to misrepresentation.

I like the fact that my camera can make me forget, even for a little while, all the problems in my life. I free my mind and just enjoy being out with my equipment. I know the problems are still at home, but I can put them on the back burner for a little while.

Actually, one of thing that I both love and dislike is the digital aspect of photography today. I actually miss the anticipation of taking a roll of film in to be developed, then picking it up, walking back to the truck and hoping you're going to find some great photos inside that white envelope. There's no excitement anymore, just instant gratification.

Best=working with people.

Worst=working with people.

Best - Photography forces me to think in an artistic realm that used to seem so strange to me, it helps me to grow.

Worst - trying to get the artistic side of my brain and the logical side of my brain to agree with each other.

It is what it is.
