Have you met a professional photographer? If so, was it someone you wanted to met? Where did you meet the photographer?

Define "professional".

Do you mean some dude who gets paid occasionally to take photos or a national geographic photographer?!

I've met both.

Just as one might expect from a man that wears a mask... :woohoo:

I've had the pleasure of working with quite a few press photographers over the years - mostly in war-zones. The ones that stand out are more because of their friendliness and attitude to life than for their photographic skills. Damir Sagolj (Reuters) earns a thanks from me for opening my eyes to a greater audience for my work - I'd been too concerned with the provincial attitudes of the UK press (when editing some rather gory casualty pix) and he reminded me that it's a worldwide market - Italian newspapers love blood and guts.

One of my best days was an afternoon spent getting horrendously drunk with Tim Page (well, who hasn't?), while my (then) girlfriend rolled joints for him to smoke. He even remembered to sign all of his books that I'd brought along with me.
Another was meeting Don McCullin at the opening of his latest exhibition and getting to tell him that it was all his fault that I'd become interested in photography to begin with.
He was gracious enough to aplogise to me for all the money I'd spent since then and I made him a cup of tea as a thank-you...
