If, as the OP said, she wants to get more into landscape photography, that better be some impressive lighting system. I only know of one distributor for that much light, and it's not for sale. B)

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Another vote on gift card. B&H or Adorama are safe bets

Just found one of her credit card statements. Looks like she uses B&H a bit. I have a winner! Thanks again for all your help. Just to play it safe I'm going to get her a gift certificate there and pick up one of these Lensbaby things. I think she will be happy with that.

If you're on the fence between the 12-24 and the 14-24, definitely get the 14-24 lens so she can use it on both bodies. Great choice for a landscape enthusiast and it fits well within your mentioned budget.

IMO, do not get her a lensbaby unless you know for sure she wants one. Don't get it because you saw an ad and thinks it looks cool. Get it, because your wife mention the lensbaby in a conversation to you, that she wants one. A lensbaby is not just a normal lens. Unless one specializes in lensbaby shots, one does not use it all that often. From the sounds of what your wife shoots, I don't think she will use the lensbaby for how much it's worth. She may like it, but not be worth having in the end.
