First off does anyone else make these things? Would you say it was worth the $95? I'm curious if the results would warrant getting one and how often this get's used or would it be a waste of money and time?

Well I have one and dont use it much now because I set up all of my Custom WBs. I now only use it when I am shooting in mixed lighting conditions or, in lighting I havent shot in before. I like it when I use it and it does a good job when I use it.

It depends on you as a photographer. If you need true to life critical colors, use it & it will pay for itself. Most photographers really don't need it as the WB can be manipulated in post when shooting RAW....As for other vendors for this type of product, I have seen knock offs from China on eBay, but I don't know how good of a job they do., I suspect not quite as accurate though.

Personally I'd get this instead (for about the same price):
www.google.com/products/catalog?client=s...C4Q8wIwAg#ps-sellers

i've had the chinese made white balance caps, they're actually quite good (most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference).

But the product I linked to above lets you do profiles to get really accurate colour AND it has a gray card for WB adjustment. I use it quite often.

Interesting how does that one work? The Expodisk pops on end of lens to set, this one obviously doesn't work the same way?
