In your opinion what is the best RAW converter?

I had a pretty lengthy talk with a friend who is a serious photographer about RAW converters. Pretty interesting... personally myself I live in a glass jar and tend to stick with what ever the manufacture sends with the camera. My friend suggested to post a thread and I would be surprised about just about many are using something different.

So what do you think is the best software for converting RAW files?

I've only used two RAW converters--the one from Canon that came with my XSi and Adobe Camera Raw. I do all of my processing with Adobe Camera RAW; but I like the way the Canon converter shows all of the RAW images as thumbnails. I may have this capability within Adobe Bridge but I've never learned to use it.

ARC is probably the best.

Little known fact about lightroom though, food for thought per say.....Print out of lightroom over photoshop...has more colors. (courtesy of scott kelby).

I use Adobe Camera Raw. The best one is almost always the one that you are most familiar with.
