Who are your influencies?

I often visit professional photographers' websites to inspire from their works and learn something new. Some of the PROs whose works I admire are Matt Stuart, Vincent Laforet and Michael DiDonna.

I'm curious who are your influences, or photographers whose art you admire?

I just do what I like, I don't have any influences other than my own artist's sense.

I do appreciate a lot of photographers though. I won't necessarily be "influenced" by them (not consciously at least).

Adams for his darkroom work. If you ever saw some of his orginial work, it wasn't that impressive.

Andre Kertesz is my favorite, I 'get' the way he sees things. I like Brassai, and others including Paul Strand and Alfred Stieglitz. I fthink Weegee's style of shooting street scenes of his era was interesting.

Of this era I think Vincent Laforet does some amazing and unusual photos. I went to a sports photography workshop by Dave Black and RIck RIckman (a Pulitzer prize winning photographer); I learned a lot in a day, and still look at their websites periodically.

Interesting you should mention Weegee .... he was one of the best when it came to dead crime victims, saw a lot of his stuff in the NY Daily News. But once he quit the news beat ... well, less interesting in my opinion.
