What drives you to be a better photographer?
I put the camera aside for a decade and suddenly the need to capture things came back. I missed the butterflies and flowers I guess. My eye finally saw things uniquely again. 
I shoot film... so film drives me to be a better photographer. I have to make everything about the shot right the first time so i dont keep wasting my money

My drive is to have the ability to capture more images that, in themselves, tell a story. I think that's my ultimate goal as a photographer.

Sure, practice makes perfect but, unless you learn from your mistakes, you are only perfecting your ability to fail.
Seriously though it is the need to express my creativity and continue the family traditions started by my Dad. I have grown up with photography and can't imagine my life without it Remember to engage brain before putting mouth in gear
