OK so I looked at your site....

I'm gonna be really blunt below. I don't want you to give up, I just want you to do well, so please don't be insulted. :)

Here goes:

Your baby photos are often underexposed and the light is too hard. Also you don't need to put so many picture of one kid there, just the best ones will do. Also most of them, you show way too much background. Get closer. Actually the last point about the background is my opinion, so YMMV.

On one of the kid photos you cut him out and put him against a fake background. You can see the outline. You need to feather the edges. Again, the lighting is too hard. Softboxes are needed and don't forget that the closer the softbox (or umbrella) is to the subject the softer the light will be.

This seems to be a problem you're having. When you use a flash it seems to be nearly always direct flash. Am I right? This isn't a good idea. If you can't afford a umbrella or soft box, bounce your flash off a wall or something, this will make a lot of difference. That aside, an open window makes for excellent soft light. Try it out.

I see potential in your work, but you need to work a little on the technical side of things. Especially lighting.

Keep at it, you're well on your way.

Thank you for your honest opinion! Those were my first ever photo shoots and since then I have done a lot more and practiced more. I am going to work on adding the new pictures and taking down the others this week.

Crystal, congratulations and best of luck with your business. Thanks for being a military wife, too. One tip - have someone proof your site for grammar and typos ("I have took" instead of "I have taken"). The more professional your web site, the more successful it will be and the more business it wil generatee. You're definitely off to a good start. I love your "patriotic babies!" Please thank your spouse for me, too.

I like the site. It was easy to navigate and you should do well with it. Stealthy had some good suggestions and I hesitate to add to that. Best of luck to you.
