Ok so I'm new to photography and I'm doing more of the portrait style pictures but I have a friend who is a amateur MMA fighter and wants me to take pictures.
I have a Nikon D7000 and I need to know what settings I should have my camera set at to get some great action shots that are not blurry and are also shot inside... Please help if u ave any suggestions..would be very much excited and appreciated!!

You will have to use as fast a shutter speed as possible and bump up your ISO. I don't know what lenses you have but for indoor ball hockey shots, I rely on my 50mm f/1.8. A 1.4 or 1.2 would be better. Unless the light is pretty strong and you are shooting from a distance, you may need a telephoto with an f/2.8. My 70-300 4.5 does not give me enough light to get crisp shots.
Also consider a monopod to steady your camera.
Good luck.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

:goodpost: :agree: Consider using flash in the mix.

Good point. I'm sure that would be OK in that type of arena.

When I fought in competitions there was always flashes going off so I cant see a problem unless new rules have been brought in, that way you should have no problem.
