The Simpsons, though it sorta jumped the shark, is still pumping out decent shows. FG won't last as long.
I've seen both shows, and although I don't watch these on regular basis, I agree, this humor won't last. Just like Beavis and Butthead and Renn & Stimpy, the FG followers will loose interest and go elsewhere for their comedy.

Yes. But I haven't seen Barney Miller and I have limited viewing experience with "The Honeymooners". I have seen a lot of the Flintstones which is basically a cartoon version of the honeymooners I hear.
