I don't think there's anyone over the age of about 50 that ISN'T a Star Trek fan on some level. While I can't quite quote actual dialog from the episodes and don't know all the episodes names, I'll bet if you start talking about an original Star Trek episode I'll remember it. I like the original Star Trek on the big screen, but I don't think Deep Space 9 got enough credit on TV. They're all good, though I was disappointed with the lastest big screen movie.

Enterprise and DS9 never aired in my area. Lately the former is on SYFY at times, and I have grown to like it. Voyager was the best concept.
No matter your preference, even the worst ST series is by leaps and bounds better than the crap aired now. Reality sucks.
